Doc to Dispo (all modules)

Door to Doc, Doc to Dispo and Dispo to Departure are the three fundamental time intervals in the emergency department.

This course covers the best practices of Door to Doc. The keys to the in-ED phase of the patient encounter include matching the utilization of key resources in the ED; these being nurses, physicians, and beds. Matching these resources to hourly demand and pursuing decreasing length of stay is the key to this interval.

Identifying the key servers and which ones are relative bottlenecks, understanding how to unload critical bottleneck servers through affecting the arrival rate or the service rate, and determining where to eliminate waste through the targeted application of lean tools such as standard work analysis, value stream mapping and rapid changeover are just a few of the patient flow strategies and best practices covered in this Course.
